The independent AC is generally deployed as a bypass, only performs network configuration and wireless function calculation, does not participate in data forwarding, and has a low load. The AC gateway all-in-one needs data forwarding and is a major network device with a high load. Once a problem occurs, the entire network cannot operate normally, but the networking cost is relatively low, which is suitable for home use. AP: The wireless controller is only responsible for network connection and has no other functions. The hardware settings are mainly carried out around the wireless radio frequency, and it is responsible for determining the number of terminals based on understanding. Because the multi-AP solution is used, the coverage on a single AP will not be very high, and the problem of insufficient coverage and high load is solved by relying on the number. Even if a single AP fails, the terminal on this AP can move to other APs, which has little impact on the terminal. The POE switch is a switch with POE power supply function, which provides data transmission and power supply for APs. It belongs to the core of the network. After a fault occurs, all the above APs will be dropped. At home, AC+gateway+POE all-in-one is generally used to save money. If the network port of the all-in-one machine is insufficient, you can add a POE switch separately. In the AC+AP network, we can implement complex network functions, such as adjusting the wireless power of the AP, controlling the wireless range of the AP, and adjusting the roaming experience of the wireless terminal. Set up multiple VLANs and set up guest-only wireless to meet diverse needs. The AP only needs a network cable, no power cable. The network cable can provide data transmission and power supply at the same time. It is simpler and safer to deploy. There are only weak points and no strong power projects. Classification of APs APs are classified into fat APs and thin APs according to their working methods. Generally, you can switch between these two modes, but some need to flash the corresponding firmware, and some have only one firmware. Fat AP (FatAP) AP works independently, which is equivalent to an independent wireless router and does not require AC. The thin AP (FitAP) needs to be used with an AC to use the function, and the AC is used for unified management. The most common is the thin AP mode. Then there is the more common networking method: independent AC. Most ACs are responsible for managing APs and centrally forwarding data. Therefore, the overall performance of the network depends on the performance of ACs. This is why the prices of ACs in enterprises are very high. For building users with large apartments and complex layouts, it is difficult to achieve a good wifi coverage effect with only one router. Wi-Fi coverage without dead ends.
