AMD Ryzen 7000 3D cache model revealed: performance is 30% higher than standard model

IT House reported on August 24 that in April this year, the AMD R7 5800X3D processor was launched, with a 100MB large L2 + L3 cache, and the Bank of China first issued 3,099 yuan. According to foreign media WccfTech, AMD's upcoming Ryzen 7000 processor also has a 3D cache model, and some news about this processor has already flowed out. It is reported that the CPU core of the 3D cache model of the Ryzen 7000 is a 5nm process, but the 3D cache adopts TSMC's 7nm or 6nm process; the capacity is the same as the previous generation, still 64MB, but the technology has been upgraded to the second generation. Also, the CPU of the 3D cached model of the Ryzen 7000 won't be as heavily clocked as the R7 5800X3D, but it will still be slightly lower than the regular model. In terms of performance, the 3D cache model of the Ryzen 7000 is expected to have a performance improvement of up to 30% compared to the conventional model with the same number of cores. In contrast, the gaming performance of the old R7 5800X3D can be improved by an average of 15% at 1080P high settings. It is reported that the 3D cache models of the Ryzen 7000 will include the R7 7800X3D and possibly the R7 7950X3D. IT House has learned that the approximate parameters of the AMD Ryzen 7000 starting lineup have been exposed, and the R7 7800X model is missing. AMD is expected to make it directly into the R7 7800X3D model.
