Panasonic has released the LUMIX GH6 firmware update program Ver.2.2. Through the firmware update, Panasonic provides a more advanced and flexible solution for the image production process using mirrorless cameras. This firmware is open for download at 9:00 on September 27th. GH6 firmware version 2.2 · Supports external recording via USB connection The new firmware supports the use of an external SSD connected via USB to directly record and play videos/photos. High-quality, low-compression Apple ProRes 422 HQ (up to 1.9Gbps) or high-bitrate, high-capacity 4:2:2 10-bit All-Intra can be recorded directly to USB-connected SSDs up to 2TB capacity. Data files recorded on the SSD can be easily transferred to a PC via USB, which minimizes backup work and makes the post-production process more efficient. · High frame rate video over 60.00p cannot be recorded to external SSD; · Simultaneous recording of in-camera SD card/CFexpress card is not supported when writing videos/photos to SSD; size external SSD.
